Scoring against Barcelona, Vietnam's youth team nearly caused a major upset

U16 PVF ended the match with a 1-3 loss to U16 Barcelona, in a game where the Vietnamese youth team showed great effort and at times made their opponents cautious. Previously, U16 PVF impressed by holding U16 PSG to a 1-1 draw in the second group stage match of the Alkass International Cup 2026 friendly tournament in Qatar.

Right after kickoff, Barcelona quickly pushed forward and maintained constant pressure. In the 6th minute, they opened the scoring when Acheves capitalized on a brilliant short combination from teammates to turn and finish neatly, putting the Spanish side ahead 1-0. Before that, PVF also faced several dangerous attacks.

By the 20th minute, Acheves shone again. The number 15 midfielder positioned himself well and rose high to head the ball from a cross, increasing the score to 2-0. However, PVF did not collapse.
