The leadership of the Department of Sports welcomed the Vietnam U23 team at Noi Bai International Airport.

Representatives from the Vietnam Department of Sports, the Vietnam Football Federation, the players’ families, and numerous fans greeted the team at the airport. Despite the intense match schedule and long travel, the players remained enthusiastic and proud to bring home a commendable achievement for Vietnam’s youth football.

At the 2026 AFC U23 Championship, Vietnam U23 consecutively defeated strong opponents, won all group stage matches, advanced to the semifinals, and earned the Bronze Medal after an emotional third-place playoff against South Korea U23, finishing among the top three teams in Asia. This success continues the impressive results of Vietnam’s young players following their Southeast Asian U23 championship and the gold medal at SEA Games 33, while also demonstrating the growth, resilience, and potential of the next generation for the national team’s future.
