On April 14, the AFC/VFF 'C' Certificate Coach Course, organized by the Vietnam Football Federation in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, officially concluded, marking another step forward in training human resources for domestic football.

Running from April 2 to 14, 2026, the course is a continuation of the systematic coach training programs implemented in recent years. This proactive step is seen as a crucial turning point, opening the possibility for independently conducting higher-level courses such as B, A, or Pro certificates in the future. Consequently, Vietnamese football gradually reduces its reliance on international resources, while affirming that its internal training capacity is increasingly enhanced.

The course attracted 24 participants, including staff, physical education teachers, and former students of the university. This number reflects the growing appeal of coach training programs organized by VFF, as well as the increasing demand for professional skill enhancement in the football field.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, representatives from Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports emphasized the foundational role of the 'C' certificate in the journey to becoming a professional coach. Additionally, the close cooperation between the university and VFF was assessed as a key factor in improving training quality, aiming to build a pool of coaches that is systematic and uniform.

After 13 days of rigorous study, the course not only equipped participants with modern coaching knowledge and methods but also laid an important foundation for the sustainable development of Vietnamese football. Young coaches trained according to international standards are expected to help spread new thinking and enhance football training quality in many localities in the coming time.
