Forward of the Vietnam U23 national team and Hanoi Police Club Nguyen Dinh Bac was deeply moved when honored in the Young Sports Face of the Year category at the 2026 Contribution Awards.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), announced and presented the Young Sports Face of the Year award to Dinh Bac.
2025 was a brilliant breakthrough year in Nguyen Dinh Bac's career, as he won a series of major titles. Highlights include the double championship of the U23 Southeast Asia and the SEA Games 33 gold medal, along with the Vietnam Silver Ball 2025, U23 Asian top scorer, and outstanding Vietnamese young face awards.

On the domestic stage, Nguyen Dinh Bac continued to make his mark with prestigious individual titles such as the Vietnam Silver Ball 2025 and the Best Young Male Player of 2025.
Dinh Bac also helped Hanoi Police Club achieve a double title including the National Cup and National Super Cup, contributing to a complete season for the club.
In the emotional moment of receiving the award, Dinh Bac shared: "First, I would like to greet the leaders, delegates, and audience present at this award ceremony. Today is a very special day for me personally, as well as for other athletes.
This award will be motivation for me to continue striving, dedicating myself fully, and contributing to our country's sports.
When the Vietnam national team has naturalized players like Xuan Son and Hoang Hen, it is a good sign, helping us not only perform well in Southeast Asia but also in the upcoming Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia.
Personally, Bac will try his best to demonstrate the best of himself on the field to cooperate with teammates and the coaching staff, contributing even more to Vietnamese football.

My dream of playing abroad has existed for a long time. I also don't know what difficulties await me ahead.
For now, I only know to strive to do the best I can to seek success abroad, which will also be a foundation for future generations.
I hope after this season Bac can go abroad to play, and having more players going abroad to compete will help Vietnamese football develop further."
Not only shining in one tournament, Dinh Bac also maintained stable performance throughout the 2025–2026 period, contributing to a series of titles such as the 2025 U23 Southeast Asia championship, SEA Games 33 gold medal, 2026 U23 Asian bronze medal, along with domestic titles. On the personal side, this forward possesses an impressive collection of achievements including the U23 Asian top scorer title, Best Player of U23 Southeast Asia, Vietnam Silver Ball 2025, and the "Young Athlete of the Year" award at the Victory Cup.
Besides his professional skills, Dinh Bac also scored points with a positive image off the field through community activities, from supporting people in his hometown to participating in charity programs. This shows maturity not only in professionalism but also in social responsibility awareness.
