NONG: Dinh Bac first speaks frankly about competing abroad

Dinh Bac affirms that competing overseas is his dream when receiving the Contribution Award.

On the evening of April 15th, the 20th Contribution Award ceremony was solemnly held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace. Here, young forward Nguyen Dinh Bac was honored in the Young Sports Face of the Year category, marking a standout year of performance wearing the Hanoi Police and Vietnam U23 team colors.

This title was announced and personally presented by Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation. It is considered a deserved reward for the relentless efforts of the 2004-born striker throughout 2025, as he consistently left a strong impression at both national team and club levels.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dinh Bac could not hide his pride upon receiving this important personal honor. He believes this will be motivation to continue striving, while expressing optimism about Vietnamese football's future, especially as the national team gains quality naturalized talents like Nguyen Xuan Son, thereby increasing competitiveness in major tournaments.

Additionally, the 2004-born forward shared his aspiration to compete abroad: "My dream to play overseas has existed for a long time. I also don't know what difficulties await me ahead. Currently, I only know to strive to do my best to seek success abroad, which will also be a foundation for future generations. Hopefully after this season Bac can compete abroad, and having more players going overseas will help Vietnamese football develop further," player Dinh Bac said.

In the Vietnam U23 jersey, Dinh Bac contributed greatly to the double titles of U23 Southeast Asian Championship and SEA Games 33 gold medal. Not only succeeding collectively, he also established his name individually with the Vietnam Silver Ball 2025 title, U23 Asian top scorer award, and inclusion in the list of Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces.

At club level, this young forward continued maintaining impressive form as he helped Hanoi Police secure the double of National Cup and National Super Cup. Those achievements show clear progress in expertise and increasingly solid competitive mentality of Dinh Bac, despite pressure from his very young age.
