Doan Van Hau hinted at the possibility of a second overseas move during his contract extension ceremony with Cong An Ha Noi FC, sparking expectations for a new career advancement.

During the signing ceremony on April 16 morning, Van Hau for the first time hinted at the possibility of a second overseas move in his career, attracting special attention from fans.

Being among the group of five players whose contracts CAHN extended demonstrates Van Hau's status and importance within the long-term strategy of the police force club. After a long period struggling with injuries, his strong comeback holds significance not only professionally but also serves as proof of the trust the leadership places in one of the most versatile defenders in Vietnamese football today.

Sharing at the ceremony, Van Hau emphasized the alignment between his personal goals and the club's development direction: “I personally clearly sense the team's goals and determination for the coming years, especially the desire to conquer titles on the international stage. That is also why I wish to continue accompanying the club on this journey.” This statement shows he views CAHN not just as a stable harbor, but also as a platform to elevate his career.

Not stopping there, the defender originally from Thai Binh further affirmed: “After the long injury period, I truly appreciate the club, coaching staff, and teammates who have always been beside me, supporting my return to the pitch. The club also has a professional, long-term development orientation, aiming to reach international levels, which aligns perfectly with my aspirations. I am very happy to continue my commitment and hope that after the contract extension, I will achieve many accomplishments together with the club, not only domestically but also on the international stage.”

Most notably, when asked about the possibility of a second overseas move, Van Hau did not deny it but left the door open: “An overseas move for me will depend on timing, as each stage brings different considerations. However, CAHN always provides the best conditions for players, ready to support us to compete in top-tier environments, thereby contributing to Vietnamese football's development.”This is seen as a signal that he still harbors ambitions to test himself in an international environment.

Previously, in 2019, Van Hau had a memorable overseas stint when joining SC Heerenveen in the Netherlands.
