Coach Bae Ji Won shared his initial thoughts after being appointed as head coach of Ninh Bình Club.

On his personal page, Coach Bae Ji Won shared his initial thoughts after being appointed to the head coach position of Ninh Bình Club. The Korean strategist announced: "I have returned to Vietnam," Bae Ji Won began.

"First, I want to thank Mr. Việt, who holds a key role in the team. Vietnam is a very special country to me. I joined the Vietnam National Team when they achieved significant successes in major Asian tournaments. That was truly a great honor and an extremely valuable moment in my coaching career.

I will try my best to have the opportunity to contribute to Vietnamese football once more. Specifically, I will strive wholeheartedly to make Ninh Bình team become the V-League champion. I thank Mr. Việt and Ninh Bình team for giving me this chance,"Coach Bae Ji Won emphasized.

Coach Bae Ji Won, born in 1963, previously served as fitness coach for referees at the World Cup in Japan and Korea. He started his coaching career at Seoul University, then led major Korean clubs such as Jeonbuk Hyundai, Pohang Steelers, Ulsan Hyundai...

In 2017, he Bae Ji Won worked as fitness coach for the Vietnam National and U23 Teams but parted ways soon after the 2018 AFF Cup. In 2022, he worked for Viettel The Cong Club, including a period acting as interim head coach.

The appointment of Bae Ji Won demonstrates Ninh Bình Club's ambition to elevate the team. With his experience in professional football environments, he is expected to bring positive changes in tactics, match discipline, and modern football thinking to the players of the ancient capital.
