
After consulting the National Coaching Council and professional departments, and based on specific tasks, the Vietnam Football Federation and Coach Hoàng Văn Phúc held discussions regarding the goals and development plan for the Vietnam women's national football team. The primary task of the new head coach Hoàng Văn Phúc is to focus on building the squad, preparing optimally for the Vietnam women's national football team to participate in the 2026 Asian Games (ASIAD 20), scheduled to take place in Japan from September 19 to October 4, 2026, followed by the 34th SEA Games hosted in Malaysia.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation Nguyễn Văn Phú expressed confidence that, with his professional experience and deep understanding of Vietnamese football, Coach Hoàng Văn Phúc, together with the coaching staff and players, will continue to build upon achieved accomplishments and strive to fulfill upcoming objectives, contributing to elevating the stature of Vietnamese women's football in regional and continental arenas.

Sharing about his new role, Coach Hoàng Văn Phúc expressed honor at being entrusted with this responsibility by the Vietnam Football Federation. He hopes that, with accumulated experience and the unity of the coaching staff and players, the Vietnam women's national football team will continue to inherit and promote existing achievements, meeting the expectations of fans.
