Coach Le Duc Tuan denies dismissal rumors, confirms he is still leading Da Nang amid unexpected turmoil.
Coach Le Duc Tuan officially addressed rumors about his dismissal at Da Nang Club, amid major management upheavals. Contrary to widespread reports, Mr. Tuan asserts he remains in his position and has not received any notification from leadership.
Speaking to the media, Coach Le Duc Tuan stated: “I have not received any information from the leadership at this time. I continue my work and do not pay attention to such rumors.”This brief but clear statement partly dispels speculation surrounding his future at the Song Han club.
Previously, Da Nang reportedly planned to replace the head coach by inviting Tran Minh Chien. This coach had even arrived in Da Nang, completed necessary procedures, and was ready to take over according to the pre-agreed schedule.
However, unexpected developments occurred at the last minute. Amid the club facing significant performance pressure, many Da Nang players collectively expressed their wish to keep Coach Le Duc Tuan at least until after the match against Nam Dinh in round 19 of V.League 2025/26 to ensure stability in the locker room.
Following this proposal, the club leadership had to alter their personnel plan. The decision to temporarily retain Mr. Tuan postponed the appointment of Tran Minh Chien. However, Mr. Chien did not accept waiting due to professional dignity and declined the offer, while Coach Phan Nhu Thuat also refused to stay as an assistant.
Currently, Da Nang is at the bottom of the standings with 12 points after 18 rounds, but relegation survival remains possible as the gap with teams above is not too large. In the remaining 7 rounds, Coach Le Duc Tuan’s role will be crucial, not only professionally but also in stabilizing the team’s psychology and morale during this decisive phase of the season.
