OFFICIAL: Vietnam's top coach joins V-League giant

Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm has officially inked a three-year deal with Ninh Binh FC and will lead the squad in the last two matchdays of the V-League.

Ninh Binh Club officially announced the contract, which runs until 2029 with Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm. This is seen as a key decision in the long-term development plan of the Hoa Lu ancient capital team ahead of the new season.

The appointment of the experienced strategist showcases Ninh Binh FC's huge ambitions. The team not only aims to compete for achievements but also to build a squad with its own identity, pursuing a modern and dedicated style of play.

Alongside the goal of winning titles, the club's management also identifies the training and development of young Vietnamese players as the foundation for the future. Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm is expected to help the team build a stable operating system and create opportunities for many young talents to grow.

To serve the long-term plan, Ninh Binh FC has decided to grant full professional authority to the coach born in 1972. He will directly oversee tactical direction, squad selection, and participate in planning the team's transfer strategy.

The three-year contract reflects the great trust that Ninh Binh FC's leadership has in Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm. The team hopes his arrival will usher in a new development phase, helping the club become an ambitious force that contributes positively to Vietnamese football.

According to plan, Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm will start work on May 26 and make his debut to fans in the match against Đông Á Thanh Hóa in round 25 of the V.League 2025/26 season. On this occasion, Ninh Binh Club also expresses gratitude to Vũ Tiến Thành for his contributions in building the team's professional foundation over the past period.

Before arriving at Ninh Binh, Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm had a successful stint with Hải Phòng FC, helping the port city team maintain a formidable position in the V-League with an energetic and combative playing style. He is also one of the most decorated domestic coaches in Vietnamese football, having won numerous titles with Hà Nội FC. His experience and ability to build a stable tactical system are the reasons Ninh Binh was determined to pursue him.
