Paris Saint-Germain has formally unveiled the player list for the Champions League final versus Arsenal, where the comeback of Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi gives a significant boost to the French club.
Paris Saint-Germain has officially announced the squad for the Champions League final 2025/26 Champions League against Arsenal, where the presence of Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi brings excellent news for coach Luis Enrique.
The reigning European champions will take on Arsenal at the Puskas Arena in Budapest (Hungary) on the evening of May 30. Before that, PSG fans were concerned about the fitness of Dembele and Hakimi, as both had injury issues during the final stretch of the season.
Hakimi, who scored in last season's Champions League final victory over Inter Milan, has been out since sustaining a hamstring injury in the first leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich on April 28. Meanwhile, Dembele was forced off early in the loss to Paris FC on the final Ligue 1 matchday and even missed a crucial training session about 10 days before the final.
Nevertheless, those worries have been dispelled as both stars are included in the squad traveling to Budapest. According to French media, Dembele and Hakimi are highly likely to feature in PSG's starting lineup for the most pivotal match of the season.
The return of this duo enables Luis Enrique to field nearly his strongest squad. As many as 10 of the 11 starters from last season's final are again on this list. The only notable change is expected to be in goal, where Matvei Safonov may be chosen over Lucas Chevalier.
In defense, Nuno Mendes and Willian Pacho, though not having played since the second leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich, are still expected to start. The pair is likely to line up alongside captain Marquinhos and Hakimi in PSG's defensive setup.
In addition to Dembele and Hakimi, other notable stars such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Goncalo Ramos are also included.
