Madam Pang congratulates U17 Vietnam for qualifying for the U17 World Cup and comments on the cultural and sports cooperation between the two nations.

To mark the official visit of General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse to the Kingdom of Thailand, Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance, a top Thai insurance group, inked a strategic collaboration deal aimed at advancing insurance, sports, cultural, and community development initiatives across Vietnam, Thailand, and the broader region.

The Vietjet Thailand joint venture, with nearly 1,500 Thai employees, is regarded as a prominent symbol of the friendly cooperative relations between Vietnam and Thailand. The airline currently operates 22 aircraft, including 10 next-generation Boeing 737-8 jets.

The strategic cooperation event between Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance also marked a meeting between two influential female leaders in Southeast Asia: Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao and Nualphan Lamsam (Madam Pang), Chairperson of the Football Association of Thailand. The two sides aim to promote sports, culture, and community activities while spreading Vietnam-Thailand friendship. Over the past decade, Vietjet has supported Vietnamese football and futsal, while Madam Pang has contributed to promoting youth football, women's football, and the professionalization of the Thai League.

Madam Pang, CEO of Muang Thai Insurance Public Company Limited (MTI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Sovico Group and Vietjet Group.

According to Siam Sport, Madam Pang, CEO of Muang Thai Insurance (MTI), signed an MOU with Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Sovico Group and Vietjet Group, to establish a key cooperation framework between the two organizations. The main objective is to develop the insurance business, especially travel insurance, and explore cooperative opportunities in other insurance sectors to strengthen both groups' insurance operations.

Furthermore, the two parties will promote and support each other in various areas, including sports, culture, and international activities. The signing ceremony took place at Muang Thai Insurance's meeting room in Bangkok.

Madam Pang, CEO of Muang Thai Insurance Public Company, shared about the MOU signing, expressing her delight in welcoming the leadership of Vietjet Group, led by Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, one of Vietnam's successful female business leaders. She also praised Vietjet's role in connecting Thailand and Vietnam in terms of economy, tourism, sports, and social relations, noting that the signing took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam.

Madam Pang stated: "I understand that Vietjet was founded by Madam Thao (Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao) with the vision of providing affordable air travel to people of all income levels, reflecting a truly socially conscious approach. Therefore, on behalf of Muang Thai Insurance, we are very excited to have the opportunity to partner with Vietjet Group in providing passenger protection services and exploring cooperation possibilities in other insurance fields. Importantly, this partnership extends beyond business into sports and social issues, areas where both organizations share clear priorities and common direction."

Madam Pang then congratulated U17 Vietnam for securing a spot in the 2025 U17 World Cup. She also recalled the warm welcome she received at the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam. "Finally, besides the business cooperation opportunities with Vietjet Group, I want to express my gratitude to the Vietnamese people, especially football fans, for their warm and friendly welcome whenever I visit, starting from the 2021 SEA Games in Nam Dinh and Hanoi. As an ASEAN nation, I also congratulate Vietnam on its recent historic achievement of qualifying for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar in November 2025," Madam Pang shared.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao shared: "Flights connect cities, while sports connect people's hearts. We believe that the partnership between Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance will spread the positive values of Vietnam-Thailand friendship and inspire the younger generation in the region."

For over a decade, Vietjet has steadfastly supported Vietnamese football and futsal through various sponsorship activities, community sports development, and assistance to national teams.

This partnership between Vietjet Group and Muang Thai Insurance represents another meaningful milestone in broadening cooperation between Thai and Vietnamese businesses, while sustainably elevating the value of aviation, sports, culture, and ASEAN industries on the international stage.

Under the cooperation agreement, Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance will explore travel insurance and non-life insurance initiatives for passengers on Vietjet Group's flight network. The two sides will also promote youth football development, cultural exchanges, and the global promotion of Vietnam and Thailand's image.

Through the expansion of international flight networks, the two companies hope to further project the values of ASEAN aviation, football, culture, and community onto the global stage. In the near future, Vietjet and Vikki Bank will accompany ASEAN United FC on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations.
