Thai Son Bac claimed the top spot after a hard-fought victory.

With a minimal win against Tre TP.HCM, Thai Son Bac briefly took the lead in the 2026 National Futsal Championship, and Sahako made a strong impression by defeating Ha Noi 4-1.

Round 5 2026 National Futsal Championship continued to witness thrilling action at the Cau Giay Indoor Stadium (Hanoi) as both Sahako and Thai Son Bac secured full three points, sparking intense competition at the top of the standings. While Sahako achieved a convincing victory over Ha Noi, Thai Son Bac also fulfilled its objective of overcoming Tre TP.HCM to temporarily take the lead.

In the earlier match, Sahako quickly demonstrated its superior class against Ha Noi with fast-paced attacking and high-pressure play. The team from Ho Chi Minh City completely controlled the game right from the kickoff and repeatedly caused trouble for the opponent's goal. Within the first 10 minutes, Sahako scored two consecutive goals to build a big lead, forcing Ha Noi to play catch-up.

Sahako defeated Ha Noi 4-1, maintaining its pursuit in the championship race.

Not stopping there, coach Nguyen Anh Khoa's players continued to apply pressure in the remaining minutes of the first half but couldn't capitalize on further chances. In the second half, Sahako remained in control and scored a third goal in the 26th minute through Anh Vu. Despite trailing by a large margin, Ha Noi still put up a strong effort. In the 29th minute, Van Phan made his mark with a skillful move before unleashing a beautiful shot to narrow the score to 1-3.

That goal lifted the home team's spirits, leading to a few notable chances toward Sahako's goal. However, just as Ha Noi was hoping for a comeback, Sahako extinguished all hopes with a goal from Dang Hung in the final seconds, thus sealing a convincing 4-1 victory.

Thai Son Bac won by a narrow margin over Tre TP.HCM to temporarily climb to the top of the standings.

In the remaining match, Thai Son Bac was highly favored far superior to Tre TP.HCM and quickly turned that advantage into a goal, with foreign player Mota opening the score in the 2nd minute. However, the subsequent developments were not as easy as the home side had hoped. Tre TP.HCM played tenaciously with a tight defensive system, causing Thai Son Bac great difficulty in finding additional goals.

In the second half, Thai Son Bac still controlled most of the possession but repeatedly struggled against the excellent performance of goalkeeper Quoc Giau and the focused defense of Tre TP.HCM. Although they could not increase the margin, the narrow 1-0 victory was enough for Thai Son Bac to reach 13 points after 5 rounds, temporarily taking the top spot in the standings. Meanwhile, Sahako, with 12 points, continues to put significant pressure in the championship race this season.
