Atletico Madrid mocks Barcelona in the most unbelievable way.

Barcelona is keen on acquiring Julian Alvarez but encounters fierce resistance from Atletico Madrid. The Madrid-based side even openly ridiculed Barca on social media amid the transfer speculation frenzy.

Barcelona is facing a harsh backlash from Atletico Madrid following reports about the move to sign striker Julian Alvarez during the summer transfer window of this year.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is said to have submitted a €100 million offer to persuade Atletico Madrid to let him go. The Catalan club is reportedly very determined to secure the Argentine international, amid speculation that Alvarez has expressed a desire to leave the Metropolitano and move to Spotify Camp Nou.

Barca is reportedly very eager to sign Julian Alvarez.

However, Atletico Madrid immediately denied all the above information. The Spanish capital club stated they had not received any official offer from Barcelona, while criticizing the "false rumors" regarding Alvarez's future. Atletico also emphasized that they have no intention of selling their top star and that the €100 million price tag does not reflect the true value of the striker.

Not stopping there, Atletico Madrid also responded with a sarcastic move on social media. On their official X account, the club posted an image of prodigy Lamine Yamal wearing an Atletico shirt with the caption "Here we go!" – a famous phrase associated with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The humorous post read: "HERE WE GO! We have sent a fax to Barcelona with a transfer offer consisting of 4 tickets to Bad Bunny's concert tomorrow, a one-year subscription to ABC newspaper, and a bag of sunflower seeds. We are eagerly awaiting a response to prepare the official announcement."

Afterwards, Atletico continued to post "transfer offers" similar ones for Pedri and Raphinha. The club also told fans: "It only took us 5 minutes to create this fake post. We live in an age where reality can be distorted. Don't believe everything you see, especially when it comes to Barca."

Nevertheless, Atletico's move was clearly just a joke. Barcelona has not yet issued an official response, and the possibility of Lamine Yamal moving to Atletico is virtually nonexistent.

According to transfer sources, Alvarez is currently Barcelona's top target after the club came very close to completing the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for a fee that could reach €80 million.

The public pursuit by Barcelona is said to have displeased Atletico Madrid. The Madrid-based club is also reportedly annoyed by the constant media reports about Alvarez's future.

However, Atletico maintains a firm stance that Alvarez is not for sale. As for the Argentine striker, he is reportedly favorable to the prospect of joining Barcelona but does not want to create tension with his current club.

Besides Barcelona, both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be closely monitoring the situation. However, Alvarez reportedly prefers to stay in Spain and is willing to wait for an opportunity to wear the Barcelona shirt in the future.
