A Manchester United player has clearly stated his desire to leave via transfer! The deal could be completed before the World Cup as he seeks more playing time.

Manchester United's backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has been linked with Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas for over half a year, and he is likely to finalize a move this summer. Due to the upcoming "10+4" foreign player policy in the Turkish league, Besiktas has revised its recruitment plans to prioritize Turkish goalkeepers, and Bayindir meets the requirements.

Besiktas initially intended to sign a foreign goalkeeper, but after the foreign player policy changed, they are now focusing on a domestic keeper. The 28-year-old Bayindir is willing to join them. He started in the first six matches of United's season, outperforming the €50 million goalkeeper Andre Onana, but subsequently lost his spot to Senna Ramens and has not played since.

The 28-year-old Bayindir said: "I am a person who loves to play matches. I don't know what the future holds, but for a player, choosing the right career path is very important. I hope to be on the pitch more often. If some decisions need to be made, then let's make them! We will do everything we can to achieve our goals. Time will tell."

Although his career at Old Trafford has not been successful, Bayindir still feels proud to have represented a top club.

He said: "Making the Turkish flag fly at Old Trafford is a truly proud thing. It is one of England's biggest stadiums, and I am honored to have achieved that. I filmed the moment, and my father was very moved. He loved that scene and felt incredibly proud. Words cannot describe this feeling. Old Trafford is indeed a historic football ground."

According to reports, once Besiktas resolves the issue of appointing a technical director, Bayindir will become their transfer target. Bayindir originally moved to Manchester United from Fenerbahce for €5 million, with a contract until 2027, and the club hopes to recover the same fee.

Although starting goalkeeper Ramens has a secure position, Manchester United may adjust the backup goalkeeper spot during the summer window, making the situation quite complicated. Onana, who was loaned to Turkish side Trabzonspor this season, wants to return, but United wants to sell the 30-year-old Cameroonian international. However, his €50 million transfer fee and £120,000 weekly wage are obstacles to his departure.

Trabzonspor has submitted a contract to extend Onana's loan for another season, but it still requires the player's approval. Otherwise, he will return to Carrington in early July to report to Manchester United. However, the club does not include him in next season's plans. How to resolve this tricky disagreement remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils want 22-year-old Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek, who was on loan to the Championship last season, to become the new number two. However, this goalkeeper, who won three major awards including Bristol City's Player of the Season and Best Newcomer, now wants more playing time rather than a long spell on the bench, so he may request a transfer. Many clubs are interested in Vitek, including Premier League and Championship sides. He may be loaned out again or sold permanently.

Therefore, Manchester United may ultimately need to sign a new goalkeeper. There is no suspense about the third-choice keeper either: 40-year-old veteran Tom Heaton has agreed to a new one-year contract and will remain with the club as a training partner and dressing room leader.
