OFFICIAL: CAHN EQUALS AN 8-YEAR-OLD RECORD IN V.LEAGUE

Hanoi Police FC officially clinched the V.League 2025/26 championship with 64 points, equaling the points record established by Hanoi FC during their 2018 title win.

Hanoi Police FC concluded the V.League 2025/26 season with a convincing championship following a 2-1 victory over Becamex TP.HCM at Hang Day Stadium. This marks the second time the police team has claimed the title in just four seasons since joining Vietnam’s top football league. Notably, Coach Mano Polking’s squad also matched the 64-point record set by Hanoi FC when they won the V.League in 2018.

On the team’s grand celebration day, Quang Hai once again became the center of attention. As captain, the midfielder born in 1997 lifted the championship trophy in front of tens of thousands of fans. This is also the fifth V.League title in the career of the star from Dong Anh. After the trophy ceremony, Quang Hai shared: “We will keep going. Hanoi Police FC still has one more match left in the 2025/26 season. The team will deliver exciting, attack-minded games for the fans.”

Beyond the players’ joy, this championship holds special significance for Coach Mano Polking. After years of waiting and several near misses with titles in Vietnam, the Brazilian tactician has finally achieved his biggest goal in his V.League coaching career. Under his guidance, Hanoi Police built a modern, attack-oriented playing style and maintained consistency throughout the season.

One of the happiest individuals on the title-winning day was overseas Vietnamese defender Cao Pendant Quang Vinh. After winning the National Cup last season, this player added the prestigious V.League trophy to his collection. He expressed: “It’s amazing. This is my second season playing in Vietnam. Last year, the team won the National Cup. Now, I and the whole team are V.League champions!”

Not stopping at domestic success, Hanoi Police FC is now aiming for bigger goals in the upcoming season. The V.League title is seen as a foundation for the team to confidently step onto the continental stage. Defender Doan Van Hau asserted: “Right now, we’ve already set targets for the new season. Besides resolutely defending what we achieved this year, the team will aim for good results in the AFC Champions League Elite. Asia’s top competition is the dream we are pursuing. We will give our best for that.”

After more than an hour of celebrating with fans at Hang Day Stadium, the Hanoi Police players understood that the journey ahead remains long. Midfielder Dinh Bac shared with determination: “Thank you to the fans. This has been a fantastic season for me personally. But this is just the beginning. I will work harder and strive more for the colors and badge of Hanoi Police FC.”The V.League 2025/26 championship is not only a reward for a successful season but also opens new ambitions for a team emerging as a force in Vietnamese football.
