BREAKING: Filip Nguyễn implicitly confirms departure from CAHN

Through a personal message, Filip Nguyễn subtly indicated his split with CAHN, suggesting he may soon seek opportunities abroad.

Filip Nguyễn has entered the final month of his three-year contract with CAHN. The agreement between both parties is set to expire at the end of June 2026. Recently, the police-backed club has been continuously extending contracts with other key players such as Văn Hậu, Lê Phạm Thành Long, Đình Trọng, Bùi Hoàng Việt Anh, and Alan.

This has led fans to implicitly understand that CAHN and Filip Nguyễn will part ways once the current contract ends. This speculation gained further traction when the Vietnamese-born goalkeeper recently posted a heartfelt letter on his personal Facebook, almost officially confirming that he will leave CAHN after his contract expires.

On his social media, Filip Nguyễn wrote: "When I signed a three-year contract in 2023, I believed in success, but reality has exceeded all expectations. Over the past three years, we have together won two National Championships, the National Cup, the Super Cup, and I also had the honor of representing the national team. We have conquered every possible title.

​I sincerely thank the club and the fans for the opportunity and incredible support. And I also extend special thanks to the haters – your criticism and doubts have been the driving force that pushed me to improve every day to achieve all these titles. Every success motivates me to go further, and I am ready to embrace new challenges ahead..."

There is a very high possibility that Filip Nguyễn wants to play abroad after finishing his contract with CAHN. This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese-born goalkeeper to test himself in different football environments. Leagues such as the J-League (Japan), K-League (South Korea), or even other Asian leagues could be reasonable destinations for Filip Nguyễn.

Filip Nguyễn told iDNEs.cz on December 15, 2024:"If given the chance, I want to try my hand in a better league in Asia — Japan or South Korea. Play in the Asian championship, then return to the Czech Republic when my career ends. That is the motivation for me to keep striving to improve myself every day."

Over the past two years playing in Vietnam, Filip Nguyễn has also achieved certain successes. The overseas Vietnamese goalkeeper contributed significantly to CAHN's two V-League titles, one National Cup, one National Super Cup, and helped the Vietnam national team win the AFF Cup 2024. Although he occasionally lost the number one spot on the national team, it cannot be denied that Filip Nguyễn is currently the most outstanding goalkeeper in Vietnam.
