Filip Nguyễn raises public suspicion with a 'summary' style thank-you letter.

Nguyễn Filip's cryptic online status recently caused public speculation regarding his future, particularly since his deal with CAHN is nearing its end.

Nguyễn Filip signed a three-year contract with CAHN at the start of the 2023/24 season. During his time with the police-affiliated club, the 1992-born goalkeeper quickly established himself as a key player, making major contributions to the team's impressive achievements.

Nguyễn Filip and CAHN won the 2024/25 National Cup, the 2025 Super Cup, and two V-League titles.

The goalkeeper also received support from the club's management to complete his Vietnamese citizenship procedures, which opened the door for him to represent the Vietnam national team over the past two years.

According to reports, Nguyễn Filip's contract with CAHN will expire at the end of June. Recently, the club has announced contract extensions with several key players such as Đoàn Văn Hậu, Lê Phạm Thành Long, Trần Đình Trọng, Bùi Hoàng Việt Anh, and Alan Grafite. However, Nguyễn Filip's case has not yet been addressed.

"When I signed the three-year contract in 2023, I believed in success, but the reality far exceeded all expectations. Over the past three years, we have together won two national championships, the National Cup, the Super Cup, and I also had the honor of playing for the national team. We have conquered every possible title.

I sincerely thank the club and the fans for the opportunity and tremendous support. I also want to extend special thanks to the haters. Your criticism and doubts have been the motivation driving me to improve every day to achieve all these titles.

Every success pushes me further, and I am ready to embrace the new challenges ahead..."

That was the status update posted by Nguyễn Filip on his personal page at noon on June 2nd.

Below the post, the goalkeeper also explained: "This is a work summary letter, not a farewell letter." However, this explanation still left fans feeling puzzled about his future.

In December 2024, during an interview with iDNES.cz, Nguyễn Filip shared:

"If given the opportunity, I would like to try my hand at a higher-quality league in Asia, such as Japan or South Korea. After that, I want to return to the Czech Republic when my career ends. That is the motivation for me to keep striving to improve myself every day."

As no contract extension agreement has been reached with CAHN, the future of goalkeeper Nguyễn Filip remains open.
