OFFICIAL: VFF will not sanction the European coach after his shocking remarks

The VFF's disciplinary actions for round 25 of the V-League do not feature Coach Velizar Popov.

Even though his statements following the latest match round sparked widespread controversy among the public, the Bulgarian manager will not face any punishment from the VFF Disciplinary Committee. This is evident from the newly released disciplinary list, which does not contain the name of the The Cong - Viettel strategist.

The absence of any penalty means Coach Popov will still be allowed to lead his team in the final round of the season. This highly anticipated match sees The Cong - Viettel face CAHN in a crucial encounter that will significantly impact both teams' final standings.

Earlier, the statements made by Coach Popov drew particular attention after the most recent match. He claimed that his team had been repeatedly "robbed of points" and had not received fair treatment in the race among the top group. The 1976-born coach also hinted at external influences affecting The Cong - Viettel's results this season.

Furthermore, Coach Popov admitted that he had reached his limit of tolerance after a series of incidents throughout the season. He even left open the possibility of leaving the V.League once the season concludes, which made his remarks draw even more interest from both experts and fans.

Shortly after these accusatory statements, the V.League organizing committee compiled a dossier and submitted it to the VFF Disciplinary Committee for review. On June 1st, a representative of the organizing committee confirmed that the case was being evaluated according to current regulations. This is not the first time Coach Popov has been involved in controversies related to refereeing and league management.

While Coach Popov's case was not penalized, the VFF Disciplinary Committee issued several other decisions. Da Nang Club was fined 2 million VND for having five players receive yellow cards in their match against Ha Tinh on May 31st. In the First Division, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Club was also fined 2 million VND for a similar offense, while Coach Le Quoc Vuong of Phu Tho Club received a 10 million VND fine for failing to attend the post-match press conference after the game against Tre PVF-CAND.
