MU star officially withdraws from national team due to injury

Manchester United received bad news as goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce was forced to withdraw from the US women's national team ahead of an important friendly series against Brazil due to injury.

While many Manchester United players are gathering with their national teams to prepare for summer international tournaments and friendlies, Phallon Tullis-Joyce was not as fortunate.

The US Soccer Federation (USWNT) confirmed that the Manchester United goalkeeper will be unable to join the June training camp due to injury. The decision was made just days before the US women's team departed for Brazil to prepare for two important friendlies.

According to the schedule, the US women's team will face Brazil on June 6 and June 9 respectively. These matches are seen as important preparation steps for the major goals ahead of the team currently ranked second in the FIFA rankings.

The American goalkeeper conceded only 19 goals for Manchester United

Initially, Phallon Tullis-Joyce was included in the 26-player squad called up by coach Emma Hayes. However, after assessing the health condition of the 28-year-old goalkeeper, the coaching staff had to decide to remove her from the roster. The replacement called up is Jane Campbell.

This is considered a significant shock for Tullis-Joyce as she has been in excellent form for Manchester United. In the past season, the American goalkeeper kept 7 clean sheets and conceded only 19 goals, making a crucial contribution to the team's many positive results.

Not only impressive professionally, Tullis-Joyce has also received much recognition off the pitch. Her contributions earned her the award "Champion of Change", one of the honors celebrating players with positive community impact.

Jane Campbell is the one called up to replace Tullis-Joyce

Not being able to participate in this training camp disrupts Tullis-Joyce's competition for a spot on the national team. Under coach Emma Hayes, the competition for the goalkeeper position on the US team is very intense, and each gathering is of great importance.

However, this injury is considered only a temporary setback. With what she has shown in a Manchester United shirt throughout the past season, Tullis-Joyce is still regarded as one of the most promising goalkeepers in US women's football today.

Manchester United fans will surely hope she recovers soon to continue her impressive form and return to the national team for upcoming training camps.
