U19 Vietnam are now just one step away from the knockout stage. They are likely to compete for the top spot in the group with U19 Indonesia if the latter wins against U19 Timor Leste.

Meanwhile, U19 Myanmar have been officially eliminated from the ASEAN U19 Championship after suffering two defeats in two matches. Earlier, they also lost to U19 Indonesia 0-3.

According to Bola, U19 Vietnam started the match by controlling the tempo while maintaining an attacking style. However, their efforts met fierce resistance from U19 Myanmar, who also boldly pushed their formation forward to apply pressure.

In the 19th minute, U19 Vietnam almost opened the scoring. However, a header by the player wearing number 14 inside the box was brilliantly saved by the Myanmar goalkeeper.

Myanmar's goal was finally breached in the 29th minute. From a corner kick on the left flank, the ball was floated to the far post and then headed back to the near post by a Vietnamese player. Le Tan Dung then followed up with a successful header, putting U19 Vietnam ahead 1-0.

In the 35th minute, U19 Vietnam nearly doubled their lead, also from a corner kick. The free kick from the left wing was sent to the far post, and a player from the Golden Stars headed it, but the ball narrowly missed the far post.

In the 45+2 minute, U19 Vietnam finally got their second goal. Hoang Cong Hau was quick to tap in after a loose ball inside the box. The score was increased to 2-0.

In the second half, Myanmar tried to play attacking football right after the kickoff. However, they conceded another goal in the 49th minute from a counterattack. Nguyen Van Bach finished the move with a powerful shot from outside the box, making it 3-0.

In the 61st minute, U19 Vietnam were awarded a penalty after the Myanmar goalkeeper fouled Cong Hau inside the box. The penalty was successfully converted by Hoang Trong Duy Khang in the 63rd minute, extending the lead to 4-0.

In the 85th minute, U19 Vietnam scored again from a corner kick. Nguyen Thien Phu headed home from a corner on the right flank near the near post, making the score 5-0.
