In line with the city-wide special rectification work meeting on fire safety in professional markets and underground spaces, and to enhance accountability in safety production, Guangzhou Sports Lottery held a meeting on June 8th at the "Sports Lottery Home." This gathering focused on reporting issues identified during prior inspections, planning hazard rectification, and deploying safety measures for the World Cup period. The goal is to drive aims to push forward rectification, conduct thorough risk checks, and build a comprehensive, all-encompassing safety management system across the city's lottery network, ensuring robustly supporting the high-quality development of Guangzhou Sports Lottery.

The meeting conveyed the essence of June 2nd city-wide meeting on fire safety rectification in professional markets and spaces, stressing the enclosed nature and challenging evacuation of underground spaces. A strong sense of "constant vigilance" was urged to overcome complacency and fortune was emphasized, embedding safety control into daily operations. In response, Guangzhou Sports Lottery promptly analyzed industry-specific safety risks, developed and issued the "Implementation Plan for Safety Inspection in Guangzhou Sports Lottery Underground Retail Stores," and established a leading special task force to coordinate hazard identification and remediation. From June 4th to 7th, led by four center leaders team members, teams were formed to conduct comprehensive on-site checks of 61 underground retail stores across districts. The inspections revealed that while most stores met responsibilities and basic fire equipment standards, issues like cluttered fire extinguishers, blocked passages, unauthorized wiring, and messy wiring, and disorganized storage were found in some.

With hazard rectification in hazard remediation at a critical stage and the US-Canada-Mexico World Cup from June 12 to July 20 bringing more buyers and extended night hours, safety control is at a pivotal window. Building on initial progress, Guangzhou Sports Lottery will next focus on three aspects to manage long-term underground hazard control and full-cycle World Cup safety:
Firstly, deepen closed-loop hazard correction, focusing on fire, electricity, and equipment risks. Categorized and dynamic management of inventories, immediate resolution of general hazards, and supervisory monitoring of major hazards, aiming for complete rectification by end of June.
Secondly, refine World-Cup-specific controls. Night inspection frequency at night for underground stores, and prohibit electric vehicle charging inside and unauthorized ticket sales. Duty shifts with leadership and 24-hour on-call systems, and enhance emergency response plans.
Thirdly, improve long-term supervisory mechanisms, including underground stores in daily checks, monthly samples, and quarterly focus audits. Conduct regular safety training and fire drills to continuously boost frontline staff capabilities in fire and emergency response.
This briefing session served both as a problem-identification meeting and a responsibility consolidation exercise. Guangzhou Sports Lottery will adopt a "zero" approach to enforce rectification, ensuring the stable and safe operation of the city's sports lottery market with effective work, and provide solid support for high-quality development.
