On June 14, at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the preliminary round for the Hanoi region took place with the participation of approximately 150 candidates, marking the conclusion of the selection process carried out in Nghe An (June 10), Ho Chi Minh City (June 12), and Hanoi.{[:3.
At each selection site, candidates were grouped by age to undergo professional tests. The group of players born between 2011 and 2012 was assessed with the goal of supplementing the national youth women's teams in the coming period. Meanwhile, candidates born between 2013 and 2015 were considered as the future reserves for younger age groups4.
The candidates went through a series of tests including speed, strength, coordination, ball-handling skills, and competitive play, and more. Through this comprehensive evaluation process, the selection committee was the Selection Board able to identify players with development potential and suitability for long-term training objectives 5.

According to the plan, candidates who pass the preliminary round the preliminary will move on to the concentrated selection phase from June 19 to 22 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. There, players will undergo further in-depth professional tests and fitness assessments before being considered for selection 6.
The female football talent scouting program is one of the key activities within the women's football development strategy of VFF and FIFA, helping to broaden the pool of young players, laying the foundation for training and building a reserve force for the national women's teams in the future7.
