Ninh Bình Club has formally confirmed the separation from head coach Bae Ji Won following a short stint with the team from the ancient capital.
In a statement released this morning, June 16, the ancient capital club wrote: "Thank you, coach Bae Ji Won, for your positive contributions to Ninh Bình FC.
Joining the ancient capital team in the latter half of the season, although the period of association was not very long, Coach Bae Ji Won left a positive impression through his professional work ethic, dedication, and important contributions to technical matters.
Ninh Bình FC appreciates the efforts and passion that Coach Bae Ji Won has devoted to the team.
We wish him good health, good luck, and continued success in his future career journey."

Coach Bae Ji Won joined Ninh Bình in April 2026 and took on his duties in the final stage of the season. Although his tenure was brief, the South Korean tactician was highly regarded for his professional conduct, dedication, and technical contributions to the team.
The parting with Coach Bae Ji Won marks another change on the coaching bench for Ninh Bình after the 2025/26 season.
Currently, the ancient capital team is led by Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm along with former colleagues from Hải Phòng FC.
As for the fitness coach position, it has not been announced yet following the departure of Coach Bae Ji Won.
Coach Bae Ji Won joined the team in mid-April 2026. Although registered as head coach, Technical Director Vũ Tiến Thành was still the main person responsible for technical matters at that time. In his seven matches in charge, Coach Bae and Ninh Bình FC recorded four wins, two draws, and one loss.
By round 25, after Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm took over the team, Bae Ji Won shifted to the role of fitness coach.
Coach Bae Ji Won previously served as a close fitness assistant to Coach Park Hang Seo during Vietnam football's successful period in 2018.
He later worked in Hong Kong with Kitchee and Eastern, before returning to Vietnam in 2022 and spending time leading Thể Công Viettel.
Along with Coach Bae Ji Won, analyst Leal Del Ojo Nunez Juan Carlos also bid farewell to the 2025/26 V-League third-tier team.
