The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has released the latest rankings for women's teams in June 2026. Accordingly, the Vietnam women's team continues to hold the number one position in Southeast Asian spot and is ranked 37th in the world, thereby confirming its regional leadership.
With 1,594 points, the Vietnam women's team maintained its position compared to the previous ranking period. This is evidence of the stability of coach Hoàng Vă Phúc and his players amid many fluctuations in regional women's football. At the Asian level, the Vietnam women's team is still among the leading group and remains a major hope for the country's football.
In the Southeast Asian region, the Vietnam women's team continues to far surpass its direct competitors. The Philippines is ranked 39th in the world with 1,566 points, while Thailand stands 49th with 1,485 points after rising one place on the FIFA rankings. Myanmar is ranked 55th in the world with 1,461 points
Notably, Cambodia had the strongest regional rise, climbing four places to 113th in the world. Conversely, dropped four places to 110th, while Malaysia fell three spots and is now ranked 95th globally. Laos also lost four places, while moved up one spot to 151st.
At the bottom of the region, East Timor dropped one place to 158th in the world with 965 points. Brunei still has no official rank on the FIFA women's rankings. These changes show that competition in women's football is becoming increasingly intense.
