Opening of the 2026 National Women's Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup

The opening ceremony of the 2026 National Women's Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup took place on the afternoon of June 20 at Thai Nguyen Stadium. This year's season represents an important turning point for Vietnamese women's football, being the first to adopt a home-and-away league system.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen – Deputy Director of the General Department of Physical Education and Sports; Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Nguyen Van Phu – General Secretary of the VFF and Head of the Tournament Organizing Committee; Ms. Ha Thi Bich Hong – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen Province; Mr. Pham Hai Anh – Member of the VFF Women's Football Committee; and Mr. Hoang Van Phuc – Head Coach of the national women's football team. Also present at the ceremony was Mr. Tran Anh Minh, General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited, along with representatives from various agencies, units, and clubs.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu highlighted that the 2026 season holds special significance as it applies the home-and-away league format for the first time, allowing clubs to play on their home grounds and strengthening ties with local communities and fans.
