12 teams confirmed for the 2026 National U21 Finals

The 2026 National U21 qualifying round has ended, thus determining the full set of 12 teams that will compete in the finals in Hung Yen from July 12 to 25.

2026 National U21 Qualifiers The 2026 National U21 qualifying round officially ended following the matches on the afternoon of July 5, thereby identifying all 12 teams for the finals. This year's tournament brings together most of the country's top youth training centers, promising an exciting competition as many bright talents of Vietnamese football will gather in Hung Yen in the coming days.

In Group A, the race for qualification was thrilling until the last moments. Hanoi narrowly defeated PVF 1-0, while The Cong displayed overwhelming strength with a 6-0 win over Hanoi Bulls. Both teams finished with 7 points, but The Cong secured top spot on tiebreakers. Despite finishing third with 3 points, PVF still had one of the best records and earned a place in the finals.

In Group B, the finals host PVF-CAND continued to assert their status as championship contenders by defeating Thanh Hoa 5-1, finishing the qualifiers with 10 points and holding onto the top spot. Hanoi Police also achieved their goal after a 2-1 victory over SLNA. Although losing their final match, SLNA remained among the top three teams to advance alongside PVF-CAND and Hanoi Police.

Meanwhile, Group C witnessed an impressive performance from HAGL. The Mountain City team beat TTHL&TĐTT Gia Lai 6-2, thus completing the group stage with a perfect 9 points. Da Nang edged past Ho Chi Minh City 1-0 to finish second with 6 points. Ho Chi Minh City placed third with 3 points and also qualified for the finals, meaning Group C contributed all three representatives to the year's biggest youth football event.

In Group D, Dong Nai maintained their consistent form with a 3-1 win over Tay Ninh, topping the group with 9 points. Tay Ninh finished second with 6 points, while An Giang defeated Mekong Can Tho 3-1 in the final round to rise to third place. All three teams achieved their objective of reaching the finals after a hard-fought campaign.

Concluding the qualifiers, the 12 teams participating in the 2026 National U21 Finals include The Cong, Hanoi, PVF, PVF-CAND, Hanoi Police, SLNA, HAGL, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, and An Giang. With the involvement of many renowned youth training centers and a roster of promising players, the finals held in Hung Yen from July 12 to 25 are expected to deliver high-quality matches and provide an opportunity for young talents to shine before moving on to the professional stage.
