Previously, Coach Park Hang Seo served as Vice President of the Korea Football Association and participated in the 2026 World Cup with the national team. After South Korea's journey ended in the group stage, his role was completed, allowing the 68-year-old coach to shift his focus early to his work in Thailand.

Kanchanaburi Power FC is a professional club from Kanchanaburi Province, nicknamed "Kanchanaburi Power Iron Horses." The team once played in Thai League 1 during the 2025/26 season but later had to return to Thai League 2. Therefore, one of Coach Park Hang Seo's key tasks is to help the club find its way back to Thailand's top division.

On May 25th, Kanchanaburi Power FC announced the appointment of Coach Park Hang Seo with a two-year contract. The Thai club hopes that Coach Park's experience, having achieved great success with Vietnamese football, will bring significant changes in professionalism and team management.

The appointment of Coach Park Hang Seo is also part of Kanchanaburi Power's long-term rebuilding plan. The club aims to establish a development system based on the Korean football model, while also emphasizing youth training.

Before signing with Coach Park, Kanchanaburi Power FC had already promoted cooperation with FC Seoul to upgrade their academy system and develop young players. The arrival of Coach Park Hang Seo is therefore viewed as a crucial part of the club's strategy to build a "Korean axis."

The milestone date of July 8th marks the moment when Coach Park Hang Seo officially steps into a new challenge in Thai football, with the immediate goal of preparing the squad for the 2026/27 Thai League 2 season and bringing Kanchanaburi Power back to the top tier.
