Round 11 of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship: Thai Son Bac solidifies top position

On the afternoon of July 8, the first two matches of Round 11 of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship took place with many exciting developments. The highlight was the clash between Sahako and Thai Son Bac, while Hanoi dropped a victory in the final seconds against Ho Chi Minh City Youth.

Before this round, Thai Son Bac led the standings with 25 points, just one point ahead of Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, the representative from the capital entered the match determined to secure all three points to maintain their advantage in the championship race.

However, Sahako made things difficult for the top team by opening the scoring in the 3rd minute through foreign player Modeira. After some surprising early minutes, Thai Son Bac gradually regained control and applied constant pressure. In the 13th minute, Thac Hieu equalized 1-1, and then Da Hai successfully converted a penalty in the 16th minute, giving Thai Son Bac a 2-1 lead.

In the second half, Sahako pushed forward in search of an equalizer but faced a solid defense from Thai Son Bac. In the 37th minute, the yellow-shirted team had a chance to level the score from a penalty, but Modeira failed to beat goalkeeper Van Tu. Just a few minutes later, Cong Dai scored to seal a 3-1 victory for Thai Son Bac.

The three points helped Thai Son Bac further consolidate their lead at the top of the table and added pressure on their chasing rivals in the championship race.

In the earlier match, Ho Chi Minh City Youth and Hanoi delivered an exciting back-and-forth contest. Ho Chi Minh City Youth took an early lead, but Hanoi played well to score two consecutive goals, leading 2-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Ho Chi Minh City Youth constantly applied pressure and used a power-play strategy in the final minutes. With just eight seconds remaining, the home side scored to equalize 2-2, thus securing a valuable point and causing Hanoi to drop a regrettable victory.
