MU has agreed to sign Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos as the "Red Devils" strive to reinforce their central midfield.
MU has agreed a £50 million deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos. Under the terms, £48 million will be paid upfront, with the remaining £2 million consisting of performance-based add-ons. Chelsea will also retain a 10% sell-on clause for any future transfer.
Andrey Santos is now preparing to undergo a medical to finalize his move to Michael Carrick's side.

The Brazilian midfielder has struggled to secure a regular starting spot this season, especially with Chelsea not competing in European competitions.
Santos' path to becoming a key figure at Stamford Bridge became even more difficult after Moises Caicedo extended his contract with Chelsea until 2033 earlier this year.
Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January 2023. Since then, he has been loaned out to Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg, Chelsea's sister club.
In the past season, Santos made 43 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists.
Besides Andrey Santos, MU is also expected to soon complete the signing of Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Serie A side Atalanta.
Strengthening the midfield is the top priority for the "Red Devils" this summer transfer window, following Casemiro's departure due to contract expiration and Manuel Ugarte's long-term injury while playing for Uruguay at the World Cup.
Although midfield reinforcement is the priority this summer, Crysencio Summerville remains Manchester United's number one target for the left-wing position.
The Old Trafford club has had initial contacts with West Ham to discuss the possibility of signing the Dutch international. However, MU is not the only Premier League club interested in Summerville.
The player's future is expected to become clearer in the coming weeks, after the Netherlands were eliminated from the World Cup by Morocco.
MU hopes to use the funds from Marcus Rashford's sale to finance the Summerville deal. Rashford is expected to return to Old Trafford after his post-World Cup holiday.
If England progresses deep into the tournament, Rashford's return could be delayed until as late as August.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are also fiercely competing for Summerville's signature. MU's management understands they risk losing another priority target to Spurs if they don't act quickly, similar to how midfield target Mateus Fernandes chose to move to the North London club from West Ham this summer.
Nevertheless, there is still a possibility that Marcus Rashford will stay at Manchester United to play a role in the squad under manager Michael Carrick.
In other news, the plan to sign Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall is currently on hold until MU completes additional midfield reinforcements.
