Hanoi Police FC has further bolstered its roster for the 2026/27 season with the official acquisition of goalkeeper Y Êli Niê.
The police club confirmed it has completed the signing of the goalkeeper born in 2001. Y Êli Niê is expected to increase competition for the goal of the reigning V-League champions.
Before joining Hanoi Police, Y Êli Niê played for Thanh Hóa FC. The goalkeeper from Đắk Lắk has been called up to Vietnam's youth teams and has spent many years playing in professional competitions.

Hanoi Police FC welcomes goalkeeper Y Êli Niê.
In the 2025/26 season, Y Êli Niê delivered notable performances while playing for Thanh Hóa. Notably, he caused significant difficulties for Hanoi Police themselves in a match at Hàng Đẫy Stadium in May. The capital club had to wait until the 86th minute to score from a penalty and secure a 1-0 victory, clinching the V-League title three rounds early.
Y Êli Niê is the latest recruit for Hanoi Police as they prepare for the new season. Previously, coach Mano Polking's side announced the signing of Spanish midfielder Damià Sabater. Born in 1996, the player came through Mallorca's youth system and has represented Spain's U16 and U17 teams.
According to several sources, Hanoi Police FC has also reached an agreement to sign striker Henen David Boris Philippe, who played for Da Nang FC in the 2025/26 season.
Along with adding new players, the reigning V-League champions are actively retaining their key members. Nguyễn Đình Bắc has committed to the club until 2029, while Nguyễn Filip recently extended his contract through 2029. Earlier, Đoàn Văn Hậu, Trần Đình Trọng, and Lê Phạm Thành Long also signed contracts until 2029, and Alan Grafite renewed until 2028.
The continuous reinforcement of the squad demonstrates the ambition of Hanoi Police FC ahead of the 2026/27 season, as the capital club aims to defend the V-League title and conquer international tournaments such as the AFC Champions League Elite and the ASEAN Shopee Cup.
