The defender who just won the V.League officially becomes a teammate of Công Phượng.

Trường Tươi Đồng Nai, a V.League debutant, officially signed defender Nguyễn Văn Đức ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

After securing promotion to the V.League for the 2026/27 season, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai is showing serious preparation to get ready for the challenging season ahead. Recently, the Southeast team made another mark on the transfer market by officially signing defender Nguyễn Văn Đức, who just won the V.League 2025/26 title with Hanoi Police.

Nguyễn Văn Đức is one of the most experienced full-backs in Vietnamese football. He stands out for his effective attacking support, abundant stamina, and solid defensive play. Previously, he was named in the V.League 2023/24 Team of the Season and contributed to Hanoi Police's championship last season. His arrival is expected to help coach Nguyễn Việt Thắng increase squad depth and improve quality on the flanks.

Notably, Nguyễn Văn Đức is just one of several new signings brought in by Trường Tươi Đồng Nai during the 2026 summer transfer window. Earlier, the club announced goalkeeper Phạm Văn Phong, center-back Bùi Tiến Dụng, and defender Phan Văn Hiếu. All are players with many years of experience in professional leagues, promising to bring the necessary experience to the newly promoted team.

It can be seen that Trường Tươi Đồng Nai's priority during the preparation phase is to strengthen the defensive system. The consecutive additions of defensive players show that the coaching staff wants to build an organized team before aiming for higher goals in the V.League. This is also considered a reasonable direction for a club that just earned promotion.

Not only actively recruiting domestic players, the Southeast representative also attracted attention with plans to strengthen foreign players. Striker Andrei Ivan, a Romanian international with 17 caps, has arrived in Vietnam to finalize his move to the club. Additionally, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai is reportedly pursuing three Serbian players: Filip Jovic, Andrija Majdevac, and Milos Vulic to further upgrade the squad.

After winning the First Division championship last season, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai is making strong moves in the transfer market to prepare for its return to the V.League. Nevertheless, coach Nguyễn Việt Thắng remains cautious, stating that the team's most important goal for the 2026/27 season is successful relegation survival. With the quality additions made recently, the newly promoted team promises to be a notable name in the new season.
