On the afternoon of July 10, the Vietnam national team resumed training in Incheon after a day of rest and recovery. In the morning, players did gym work to build fitness and strength before moving to tactical drills on the field in the afternoon.
Coach Kim Sang Sik and his staff focused on refining defensive and attacking combinations, as well as organizing opposition drills on two-thirds of the pitch. This is the phase of perfecting the team's tactics ahead of the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
A positive sign came from Duy Manh. The captain center-back was able to return to the field and train with the ball after a period of recovery at the hotel under the supervision of the medical team. Duy Manh suffered an injury before joining the squad.
The Vietnam national team will face Gangwon FC, a K.League 1 side, on July 13. This is the last friendly match for Coach Kim Sang Sik's team in South Korea.
After the training camp, the team will return home to prepare for a friendly against Myanmar on July 18 at Thai Nguyen Stadium, a final dress rehearsal before defending their Southeast Asian championship title.
Hanoi I held to a draw in the Women's National Championship
Hanoi I were held to a 1-1 draw by Thai Nguyen T&T in round 5 of the Women's National Championship – Thai Son Bac 2026 Cup, while Than KSVN secured their first win of the season.

Hanoi I and Thai Nguyen T&T played in rainy conditions, which significantly affected the quality of play. The home team took the lead in the 32nd minute after Le Thi Trang broke through and finished accurately.
Hanoi I's advantage lasted only four minutes. From a chaotic situation in front of the home team's goal, Ngoc Minh Chuyen quickly scored to level the match. Hanoi I controlled the game and created several chances in the second half but couldn't find the net, settling for a 1-1 draw.
At Cua Ong Stadium, Than KSVN defeated Ho Chi Minh City II 2-1. Bui Thanh Thuy opened the scoring in the 46th minute before Diep Xuan Trang equalized three minutes later. In the 87th minute, Tran Nhat Lan scored the decisive goal, giving Than KSVN their first victory.
After round 5, Ho Chi Minh City I lead with 12 points, two ahead of Hanoi I. Thai Nguyen T&T sit third with 8 points.
Coach Van Sy Son continues to lead SLNA
Song Lam Nghe An Club continues to place its trust in coach Van Sy Son, officially signing a contract with the 1972-born manager ahead of the 2026/27 V-League season.
The signing ceremony took place on the afternoon of July 10 at the headquarters of Song Lam Nghe An Sports Joint Stock Company, after the new sponsor took over the team. Retaining coach Van Sy Son was one of the first decisions of the new leadership to stabilize the technical staff during the transition period.
Coach Van Sy Son took charge of SLNA from round 7 of the 2025/26 V-League, replacing coach Phan Nhu Thuat when the Nghe An team was near the bottom of the table and facing relegation threat.
Under coach Van Sy Son's guidance, SLNA improved their spirit and playing style, achieving important results in the relegation battle. SLNA finished the season in 9th place and successfully avoided relegation.

Phan Van Hieu joins Truong Tuoi Dong Nai
Midfielder Phan Van Hieu officially left Bac Ninh FC to join Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club, preparing for the 2026/27 V.League season.
Phan Van Hieu was born in 2000, stands 1.76m tall, and plays as a central midfielder. He came through Nam Dinh's youth system and previously played for CAND, Phu Dong Ninh Binh before joining Bac Ninh FC.
Moving to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai opens a new challenge in Van Hieu's career as the 26-year-old midfielder gets the opportunity to play in the V.League. With experience accumulated from several clubs, Van Hieu is expected to add depth to the midfield options of the Dong Nai team in the new season.
Truong Tuoi Dong Nai is actively strengthening its squad for the 2026/27 V.League. The arrival of Phan Van Hieu is one of the personnel reinforcement moves by the club as they prepare for the new season.
