The Vietnam national team persists with a rigorous training regimen during the latter stage of their South Korea training camp, gearing up for the final practice match ahead of their return to prepare for the ASEAN Cup 2026 title defense campaign.

Following tactical drills and squad assessments, head coach Kim Sang Sik and his staff have urged their players to keep their focus and maintain a serious work ethic. The training plan is structured with high intensity, combining physical exercises, team coordination, and perfecting tactical plays to ensure the players reach peak condition.

The atmosphere on the training ground was lively as all players showed determination to compete for a spot in the lineup. The coaching staff also took the opportunity to review and evaluate the form of each player before making decisions on squad composition for the upcoming challenges.

In an interview during the afternoon training session on July 11, goalkeeper Van Lam stated: "Every time I am called up to the national team, I always try my best in training to showcase what I have and contribute fully to the national team.

Patrik is working very hard and has integrated well with the whole team. He can also communicate in Vietnamese, so everything goes quite smoothly."

Van Lam also expressed his joy that center-back Do Duy Manh has returned to ball training after recovering from injury. "The whole team is very happy to see Duy Manh back in training. We hope he will fully recover soon to continue accompanying the team in the coming period."

According to the schedule, the Vietnam national team will play their final friendly match during the training camp in South Korea. This is seen as an opportunity for coach Kim Sang Sik to test tactical adjustments and evaluate the team's operational efficiency after nearly two weeks of training and competitive matches.

The training camp in South Korea is a crucial preparation step for the Vietnam national team ahead of the ASEAN Cup 2026. Training in a professional environment and continuously playing against quality opponents helps the players improve their physical foundation, enhance coordination, and accumulate practical experience.

After completing the final friendly match, the entire team will return home to enter the final preparation phase before officially embarking on the campaign to defend their regional championship title.
