Recent training sessions of the team have focused on perfecting defensive organization, transition play, and attacking coordination.

Coach Kim Sang Sik has continuously experimented with different personnel options to find the optimal framework before finalizing the roster for the 2026 ASEAN Cup.

After the match against Gangwon FC, the Vietnam national team will return home to prepare for an international friendly against Myanmar at Thai Nguyen Stadium on July 18.

Born in 1996, Milos Vulic is 1.83 m tall and plays as a central midfielder. In the 2025/26 season, the 29-year-old player wore the shirt of Napredak in the Serbian Super Liga before deciding to move to Vietnam to join the V.League's newly promoted team.

Vulic possesses an impressive resume, having played in Serie A for Crotone. This midfielder also has experience competing in European competitions, with appearances in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League during his time at Red Star Belgrade.

At the national team level, Vulic has twice represented the Serbian national team in friendly matches against Jamaica and Japan.

This contract also demonstrates the determination of the newly promoted team in their goal to compete in the 2026/27 V.League season.

The most notable clash on opening day was the encounter between defending champions PVF-CAND and Hanoi. The two teams played a tight game and failed to capitalize on the chances they created, thus accepting a share of the points in Group A.

In Group B, SLNA did not have the expected start as they were held to a draw by Dong Thap. Despite controlling the game for most of the time, the Nghe An team faced many difficulties against the well-organized defense of their opponents and could not find the decisive goal.

The biggest surprise came in Group C, where Tay Ninh overcame SHB Da Nang to claim full three points, temporarily taking the advantage in the race for a quarterfinal spot.

The 12 teams are divided into 3 groups, playing a round-robin format. The three group winners, three runners-up, and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals.
