Latest Ballon d'Or Odds: Mbappe Leads, Haaland 8th, Only 2 in Top 10 Not in World Cup Semifinals

On July 13 Beijing time, following the confirmation of the World Cup semifinalists, relevant bodies released updated Ballon d'Or odds. As expected, players reaching the semifinals largely monopolize the top 10 positions of the odds list.

Among them, French captain Mbappe is at the top, England captain Harry Kane is close behind, and Argentine captain Messi is tied for third alongside French stars Olise and Dembele.

England midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has shone in the knockout stages, has risen to 6th place, surpassing Spanish prodigy Lamine Yamal, who costs 200 million euros. Yamal and Erling Haaland are ranked 7th and 8th respectively, while England midfielder Declan Rice is in 10th place.

Among the top 10 in the Ballon d'Or odds, aside from Haaland, who was unfortunately eliminated in the quarterfinals, the only other player not from a World Cup semifinalist is Portuguese midfielder Vitinha. The €130 million-valued player recorded 0 goals and 0 assists in 5 games at this World Cup and exited with Portugal in the round of 16.

Vitinha's inclusion in the top 10 of the odds is mainly due to his role as a key starter this season, helping French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain win the Champions League title consecutively.

However, because of his lackluster World Cup performance, Vitinha has essentially withdrawn from this year's Ballon d'Or race early.
