Lucao writes an emotional farewell letter to CLB Thể Công Viettel

Thể Công Viettel has officially bid farewell to foreign forward Lucao following the end of the 2025/26 season.

On his personal page, the Brazilian striker shared a heartfelt letter with the message "Thank you," marking the end of his journey with the military-backed club.

Lucao wrote: "We fought until the very last moments, always proud to wear the Viettel jersey and honored to finish as runners-up."

The 1991-born forward also expressed gratitude to the board, coaching staff, teammates, employees, and fans of Thể Công Viettel for their support throughout a memorable season.

Notably, Lucao showed special affection for Vietnam, sharing: "Thank you Vietnam for welcoming our family and becoming our second home."

The post included many photos of Lucao with his family in Thể Công Viettel colors, along with moments of celebration with fans, as if closing an emotional chapter.

In the 2025/26 season, Lucao was a key figure in Thể Công Viettel's attack, contributing to the team's runner-up finish.

According to some sources, after leaving Thể Công Viettel, striker Lucao is likely to join CLB Ninh Bình.

The Brazilian forward is one of the notable signings for the ancient capital club during the transfer window ahead of the 2026/27 season. He will reunite with coach Chu Đình Nghiêm, whom he previously worked with.

Besides Lucao, Ninh Bình has also added several quality foreign players such as Lucas Turci, Marciel, Romeu Martins, and Friday, showing the team's big ambitions after earning promotion to V.League.
