According to British media, Besiktas is paying £17.1 million for the transfer, with Arsenal receiving an immediate £15.4 million and potentially an additional £1.7 million in add-ons. Trossard has signed a three-year contract with the Turkish club, earning over £120,000 per week.

Arsenal confirmed that the 31-year-old was allowed to travel to Istanbul for a medical and to complete the final formalities before his unveiling at Besiktas. The striker has just landed in Ataturk, and the Turkish club immediately posted images of him wearing their kit.

Joining Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023 for a fee of £26 million, Trossard has enjoyed a period of success beyond expectations. He made 174 appearances across all competitions, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists under manager Mikel Arteta.

Last season, Trossard scored six goals in the Premier League, playing a key role in helping Arsenal end a 22-year wait for the title. Notably, his late goal against West Ham was seen as a crucial turning point, allowing the Gunners to surge ahead in the race and secure the championship.

Not only successful at club level, Trossard also started in the Champions League final against PSG and featured in all six matches for Belgium on their way to the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals.

As for Besiktas, the historic Turkish club is strengthening its squad ahead of the new season. After signing goalkeeper Alexander Nübel from Bayern Munich, Trossard becomes the next notable addition as Besiktas aims to compete for the Super Lig title and prepares for the Europa League qualifiers.
