Truong Tuoi Dong Nai accelerates on the V-League transfer market

In recent days, the V.League debutant Truong Tuoi Dong Nai has continuously unveiled new signings, demonstrating their commitment to investing heavily to leave a mark in their debut season in Vietnam's top football league.

Most recently, the Southeast team announced the signing of Serbian striker Andrija Majdevac. The 1997-born forward has played for various Serbian youth teams, including the U18s, and has experience playing in Serbia, Greece, and Hungary for Panetolikos, Debrecen, Novi Pazar, and most recently Napredak.

In the 2025/26 season, Majdevac made 29 appearances across all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists for Napredak. With an ideal physique, ability to break through, positioning, and versatile finishing, the 28-year-old striker is expected to add strength to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai's attack.

Before Majdevac, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai had announced striker Andrei Ivan. The Romanian international, born in 1997, has played for the Romanian national team for many years and has featured for Universitatea Craiova, Rapid Wien (Austria), and Panserraikos (Greece). While at Universitatea Craiova, Ivan scored 72 goals and provided 38 assists, helping the club win the Romanian Cup and Super Cup.

In defense, coach Nguyen Viet Thang's team also added Serbian center-back Filip Jovic. The player, who has represented the Serbia U18s, has gained experience playing in Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and most recently for Slaven Belupo in the Croatian First League.

Besides quality foreign players, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai has also significantly strengthened their domestic squad. Notable is center-back Bui Tien Dung, a former Vietnam U23 international who was runner-up at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship. The player, who grew up at PVF, can play well both as a center-back and a defensive midfielder, promising to add more solidity to the defensive system.

Previously, the club had also announced three other new signings: goalkeeper Pham Van Phong, and two defenders Nguyen Van Duc and Phan Van Hieu, thereby early completing the squad depth before entering the preparation process for the new season.

As of now, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai has introduced seven new signings: four domestic players (Pham Van Phong, Bui Tien Dung, Nguyen Van Duc, Phan Van Hieu) and three foreign players (Filip Jovic, Andrei Ivan, Andrija Majdevac).

The continuous addition of experienced players from both domestic and international backgrounds demonstrates the huge ambition of the Southeast team ahead of the 2026/27 V.League season.
