A rematch of the Copa America vs. European Championship! The World Cup final will feature a 2 billion euro showdown, with the first-ever clash between two generations of Barcelona's No. 10.

In the second World Cup semifinal, which concluded on July 16 Beijing time, defending champions Argentina overturned a 1-0 deficit to defeat England 2-1, advancing to the final for the second straight tournament. They are set to battle Spain for the World Cup championship.

The semifinal between Argentina and England was intensely fought. Both teams had zero shots in the first 30 minutes, and there were 19 fouls in the first half. After the break, England seized the initiative when Rogers delivered a cross and Gordon scored from a late run in the 55th minute, putting England ahead. Argentina then mounted a dramatic comeback, with captain Messi once again playing the key role. He first assisted Enzo's stunning long-range equalizer in the 85th minute, then set up Lautaro's header for the winning goal.

With this inspiring victory, Argentina reached the World Cup final for the seventh time in their history. They will face Spain for the title. This marks their first meeting in eight years; in March 2018, Spain trounced Argentina 6-1 in a friendly, with Otamendi, Lo Celso, and Tagliafico all featuring in that match.

This will be the second World Cup encounter between Spain and Argentina, the first being a group stage match in 1966, which Argentina won 2-1. Overall, it is the 15th meeting between the two sides, with the previous 14 matches evenly balanced: each team has 6 wins, 2 draws, and 6 losses.

Notably, this final is also a reenactment of the canceled Copa America vs. European Championship clash. Originally scheduled for March this year, the match between European champions Spain and Copa America champions Argentina was called off due to the geopolitical situation at the time.

Furthermore, this will be the first direct confrontation between two generations of Barcelona's No. 10: 19-year-old Lamine Yamal versus 39-year-old Lionel Messi. When Yamal was just a baby, his parents were lucky enough to bring him to a Barcelona club event, where the then-up-and-coming Messi interacted with the young Yamal, holding him and even giving him a bath.

So, will Spain, with a total squad value of 1.2 billion euros, lift their second title after 16 years, or will Argentina, valued at 800 million euros, successfully defend their crown and claim their fourth championship? The answer will be revealed in the World Cup final, which kicks off at 3 a.m. on the 20th.
