Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) has officially introduced Paulo Mourinho as the assistant head coach, completing the coaching team as the 2026/27 season approaches.
The Portuguese manager will serve as the right-hand man for head coach Alexandre Polking, filling the role left by assistant Mavi Lopez after his departure from the club.
This is considered a key step in CAHN's efforts to strengthen its coaching bench, aiming to defend domestic titles and compete on the continental stage.

Born in 1987, Paulo Mourinho started his career as a player before transitioning into coaching at an early age. He gained experience at various academies and youth teams in Portugal, later working in South Korea and Australia.
Notably, Paulo Mourinho previously collaborated with Coach Polking at Bangkok United in 2018. After Polking moved to coach the Thai national team, the Portuguese assistant continued his career in other environments before returning to the Thai League to work for Kanchanaburi FC in late 2025. Their reunion at CAHN is expected to quickly build synergy in professional matters.
In addition to completing the coaching staff, CAHN has also been actively strengthening its squad for the new season. The club has recruited striker Dinh Thanh Binh, along with foreign players Henen David, Brayan Perea, Damia Sabater, and goalkeeper Y Eli Nie, to increase squad depth.
Earlier, CAHN extended head coach Alexandre Polking's contract until 2028, demonstrating the leadership's trust in the strategist who has helped the club achieve much success recently.
With both the coaching staff and playing squad finalized, the reigning V.League champions are showing thorough preparation for the 2026/27 season, where they will compete on multiple domestic and international fronts.
