OFFICIAL: South American Super Striker Arrives in Vietnam to Play

CAHN Club has officially unveiled the contract with Brayan Perea, a Colombian forward with Serie A experience.

Hanoi Public Security Club continues to demonstrate its great ambition ahead of the 2026/27 season by officially announcing the signing of striker Brayan Perea. The Colombian goalscorer joined the capital club just a few days after the team resumed training, thus becoming one of the notable new recruits of CAHN in the summer transfer window.

The police team began their gathering on July 7 under the guidance of coach Alexandre Polking. After a period of medical checks and fitness assessments, the players entered an intensive training cycle. CAHN wants to complete its squad early to prepare for a season with a heavy schedule in both domestic and international tournaments.

Brayan Perea is considered a key piece in the plan to upgrade the attack. The 1993-born striker stands 1.90m tall, has a strong physique, and good hold-up play. He previously played for Lazio in Serie A, then competed in various national leagues across Europe and South America. Perea's strengths lie in his ability to hold the ball with his back to goal, pin down center-backs, and create space for teammates making runs.

In the 2025/26 season, Perea played for Port FC in the Thai League. He scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists in 1,431 minutes of play, averaging approximately one goal involvement every 130 minutes. In the Thai League Cup, the 33-year-old striker added 3 goals in 4 matches, including a brace in the semifinal against Chonburi, helping Port FC win the championship.

Perea's career history raised high expectations: he came through Deportivo Cali, won the 2013 South American U20 Championship with Colombia, and then moved to Lazio. Former sporting director Igli Tare once remarked that Perea reminded him of Edinson Cavani during his time at Palermo. The comparison stems from his energetic style, wide movement, and frequent acceleration from the flanks into the central areas.

Perea is the latest newcomer in CAHN's squad reinforcement campaign. Previously, the club had recruited Damia Sabater, David Henen, Y Êli Niê, and Đinh Thanh Bình, while also appointing assistant coach Paulo Mourinho. With a deep squad, CAHN aims to compete in the V.League, National Cup, AFC Champions League Elite, and ASEAN Club Championship.
