Manchester United play one more man, Casemiro still runs 10 kilometers! The secret of recovery is exposed, and you can exercise more physical fitness without complaining

Casemiro was once again a hero at United's most crucial moment of the season, starting all five of his game-winning Europa League knockout games and scoring four goals in his last two games to give the Reds a good chance of reaching the final. Coach Ruben Cat Food changed his attitude of abandoning "Fat Tiger" in the early days of his tenure and praised him. The 40-year-old Portuguese coach singled out Casemiro's statistic: he ran 10.55km in the 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao, the best in the team.

Casemiro opened the scoring and turned the tide for United, who had been on the back for half an hour. After that, he continued to run hard to ensure that his team kept a clean sheet.

Amorim said: 'Casemiro taught the whole team a lesson and he was a great example of how everything can change in an instant. Before, Toby [Collier] was ranked higher than Casemiro, but now it's hard for you to take Casemiro."

The stats show that Casemiro played just 136 minutes in 14 games between mid-December and early February, starting just one, and was substituted after playing for an hour in a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United. In that time, he missed as many as nine games. However, Casemiro struggled to meet the boss's demands and capitalised on Ugarte's injury to regain his name.

Amorim has also tweaked the way he uses Casemiro, not asking him to press high and letting the full-backs move forward more in front of the defence. But the 40-year-old Portuguese marshal stressed that Fat Tiger's own efforts are indispensable.

The British "Manchester Evening News" reported that the staff at the Carrington training base said that even in difficult times, Casemiro did not waver, he was full of enthusiasm and hard work. There's no doubt he's hungry to play too, and when Ruud van Nistelrooy led Leicester City to Old Trafford in February, the Fat Tiger made a beeline for the Dutch legend. Ruud van Nistelrooy started all four games in charge of Manchester United, with Casemiro starting all of them.

The Europa League in mid-March was a turning point in Casemiro's fortunes. Ugarte was injured at the time and Amorim had no choice but to start Casemiro. Since then, the former Real Madrid defender has re-established himself in United's starting line-up. In Amorim's three-centre-back system, Casemiro doesn't need to cover a large area of the central midfield, so he plays more freely.

Amorim admired Casemiro's attitude on and off the pitch and he didn't complain even when he was on the bench. Casemiro is certainly no longer a man who can cover the midfield alone, but he has two major advantages, one is his experience and the other is his ability to score forward.

Casemiro is a very professional and the first three things he asked during his move to Manchester United were: where to live, where he could train and where the stadium was. During the online negotiations, he asked to see Carrington's gym. According to the Manchester Evening News, Casemiro has managed to lose weight this season and his size has surprised United insiders.

Real Madrid staff also said that in the past he used to go to the gym in Valdebebas at 8 a.m. every day. Carrington insiders found out that Casemiro would practice on his own before and after training. Casemiro's English was already good enough for everyday conversations, and he developed a good relationship with the masseur. Casemiro is considered by the staff to be very respectable, and he responds to people's doubts with actions rather than words.

Casemiro was replaced by Amrabat, Collier and publicly criticised by Sir Jim Ratcliffe during his more than two years at Manchester United, but he is now back to the level he was in his first season, at least in Europe.

Casemiro's wife, Anna, and children, Sara and Caio, are all happily living in Manchester, where they are expected to spend their fourth year. Casemiro's £350,000-a-week salary is clearly too high and Amorim needs a young and dynamic new midfielder, but the Fat Tiger is happy to play on the bench, doesn't create problems and can play his part when needed.
