Brazil's 19-year-old striker Roque is not part of Barca's plans and has now left the team in order to play.
According to official news from Barca, the team's 19-year-old Brazil striker Roque has joined Betis on loan for a season until June 2025, with the option to extend for another season, with Betis covering the player's full salary, with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros before tax, plus an option to buy out.
Roque joined Barcelona from Atlético Paranaense for a total transfer fee of €60 million in January 2024, of which a fixed €30 million + €26 million performance bonus (linked to player performance, goals and titles) + €5 million Ballon d'Or bonus (to be in the top three of the Ballon d'Or). Barcelona have now paid 40 million euros, and Barcelona will not activate the floating clause for the rest of the club if they let Roque leave.
The 19-year-old Roque, 1.72 meters tall, right-footed player, mainly plays in the center forward position, can also play as a winger, and is worth 30 million euros, and has a six-year contract with Barcelona until 2031. Roque joined Barcelona halfway through last season and made 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals. With Roque insisting on staying in La Liga to play for Barca, he rejected a better offer from Sporting Portugal.
