Cunha meets Arsenal! A move to Manchester United is still a foregone conclusion, with pressure to be confirmed before the end of the season

While Cunha's move to Manchester United is reportedly almost a foregone conclusion, the 25-year-old Brazilian striker's agent has still scheduled a meeting with Arsenal sporting director Andre Berta. According to talkSPORT Radio, Cunha is on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal and Newcastle United, and the agent hopes to put pressure on the Red Devils not to be half-hearted and complete the deal as soon as possible.

With 15 goals in 30 Premier League games this season, Cunha is seventh on the Premier League's scorers' charts, tied with Chelsea's Cole Palmer and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins. Manchester United, who have a poor scoring ability, have listed Cunha as one of the top attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window and are determined to complete the deal before the transfer market becomes hotly contested.

Cunha is particularly interested in Amorim's plans for a revival, making it clear that whether United qualify for the Champions League or not will not affect his transfer, and has already begun discussions with the club on personal terms. But "The Wolf King" wants to determine his future before the end of the season, and he'll weigh his options carefully.

It is reported that Cunha wants to confirm his transfer before the final round of the season so that he can say goodbye to Wolves fans at Molineux, who host Brentford in the final round on 25 May.

David Ornstein, an authoritative transfer expert at The Athletic, has reported that Manchester United are also hoping to reach a personal deal with Cunha before the end of the season. The club has made an offer, but the two sides have not yet agreed. However, the Red Devils are confident that Cunha can be signed, and they understand that any player will want to fight for better treatment.

Ornstein explained: "The dust hasn't settled yet, and not much is likely to happen until the end of the season and his release clause comes into effect. Manchester United will be looking to reach a personal agreement, they have made an offer, I don't know if there is a deal but they will try to negotiate to get it done. Once the agreement is agreed and the terms of the release are in effect, the transfer can be completed. They still have to focus on the Europa League, but that will have little impact on Cunha's."

Another transfer expert, Ben Jacobs, said: "Cunha wants to be sure of his next home before the end of the season, although his release fee will not take effect until the end of the season. Manchester United are seen as frontrunners and negotiations on the terms will continue in the coming days, with yet to be finalised. Cunha has agreed to a plan for Manchester United and financial discussions are progressing. Newcastle are still in contention and Arsenal are in renewed discussions within the club about transfers.

According to The Telegraph, Portuguese sporting centre-forward Djekereish has a different stance from Cunha, telling Amorim that United will only consider joining if they secure Champions League qualification. This made Amorim unhappy and publicly stated that he would not join Manchester United if a player made his transfer conditional on playing in which competitions.

As for Cunha, the only thing that needs to be resolved at the moment is the economy, and the Manchester Evening News says that Manchester United fans need not worry, because the negotiations between Manchester United and Cunha have reached an extremely advanced level, and it will be a big surprise if they are not finally completed.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said: "Cunha's release clause is £62.5 million and I hear that what United want most is to pay in instalments. This will also be the focus of negotiations with Wolves to find a way to comply with FFP's financial fair play rules."
