Enzo Barrenechea was introduced as Benfica's latest acquisition following his loan transfer from Aston Villa.

Barrenechea comes on loan from Aston Villa, for a fee of three million euros. However, a purchase option of twelve million euros will be activated at the end of the season, in June 2026.

Aston Villa will also be entitled to receive 30% of any profit made from a future transfer of the player, capped at a maximum of ten million euros.
