The 25-year-old Norwegian international has signed a deal lasting until the 2029 season.
"It is truly amazing. A significant dream that is becoming a reality, so I am very pleased. I have been a Rosenborg fan since I was a young boy and aspired to play for the club, so this is simply monumental," he states Nordli."
Simen Nordli joined Randers in January 2023 from Aalesunds FK, under a contract valid for three and a half years.
Since then, he has participated in 75 matches, netted 22 goals, provided 13 assists, and earned the title of Player of the Year in the Danish Superliga last season.
It is reported that Nordli had a buyout clause that Rosenborg was prepared to activate. He originally had one year remaining on his contract with Randers.
"It has been an excellent year, and I have progressed step by step. Now I am ready to add value to Rosenborg," he remarks.
Rosenborg's sporting director, Micke Dorsin, is excited about the acquisition and comments on the club's website:
"Simen excels in critical situations when he has the chance, both in making the final pass and the one before it, and furthermore, he is an effective finisher."
"That is the reason we are bringing him in; he is a valuable team player who puts in hard work for the team, and he is a Norwegian who understands Rosenborg well regarding our history, culture, and identity," says Dorsin.
