Ashley Young, a former veteran of Manchester United and Everton, is ready to join relegated Ipswich Town after a failed transfer to Watford.
The 40-year-old has been without a team since departing Everton when his contract ended at the conclusion of last season.
Young was close to reuniting with his childhood club Watford, but the two sides could not come to an agreement, and the deal ultimately fell through.
According to talkSPORT, he is now set to team up with Kieran McKenna, who was part of the coaching staff during his time at Manchester United, and currently manages Ipswich Town.
Ipswich struggled to remain in the Premier League last season despite some commendable efforts, and they aim to bounce back at the first opportunity in 2025/26.
