Manchester United's Carlos is considering moving to Saudi Arabia for financial gain! If he doesn't secure a starting position in the first half of the season, he might leave as early as the winter transfer window.

British media reports that 30-year-old Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw may leave, potentially as early as January next year. The "English Carlos," who has been with the Red Devils for 11 years, has garnered interest from clubs in the Saudi Arabian Professional League and is ready to listen to offers based on his circumstances at Old Trafford.

Luke Shaw joined Manchester United under Van Gaal after the 2014 World Cup, and now he has two years left on his contract, but he may leave early. Last season, the England left-back only made 12 appearances. He missed three months due to a calf injury and has struggled since then.

In the Europa League final, he started as a center-back. In the left-back position, Luke Shaw is likely to fall behind Danish international Patrick Dorgu, who is a new signing brought in by coach Ruben Amorim for €30 million. Meanwhile, the summer transfer window also saw the arrival of 18-year-old Diego Leon, the first player confirmed by Amorim, with a transfer fee of £7 million.

Additionally, Manchester United's two right-backs, Diogo Dalot and Mazraoui, can also play as left-backs. With the arrival of £71 million right winger Mbemo, they face competition for playing time as Amad Diallo is expected to move back. Thus, Luke Shaw is no longer guaranteed a starting position.

In Manchester United's first summer friendly, Luke Shaw started against Leeds United, playing as a center-back. However, his performance was unsatisfactory, as £62.5 million new signing Cunha criticized him early in the match, urging him to pass the ball faster. Yet, Luke Shaw failed to do so; when Cunha made another run into space, the English defender opted for a backward pass instead of delivering the ball.

Luke Shaw was included in Manchester United's squad for their tour of the United States, but he will assess his status at the start of the Premier League next month. If he becomes a substitute and lacks playing time, he will consider other options. He is well-liked in the dressing room and holds some influence, and while Amorim is not in a hurry to offload him, the 40-year-old Portuguese coach could force Luke Shaw to make a choice through playing time.

Currently, Luke Shaw's weekly salary is £150,000, which is not an issue for Saudi investors. In the past, another Manchester United left-back, Brazilian international Telles, joined Al Nassr and was teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo for a while, earning the Red Devils a transfer fee of £6 million.

In the last two seasons, Luke Shaw has played only 27 matches, less than half of what some teammates have played in a single season. Therefore, as long as the offer is not too low, Manchester United will agree to let him leave. This summer, Manchester United hopes to sell another left-back, Tyrell Malacia, first; however, the 25-year-old Dutch full-back is currently not attracting interest.

Premier League transfer expert Graham Bailey predicts that Malacia may become the last of the "Five Mice" to leave. "Juventus is interested in Sancho, and Comoli believes he can sign him. As for Antony, Real Betis is actively trying to bring him in. Garnacho wants to stay in England, with Chelsea, Spurs, and Villa all keeping an eye on him. Only Malacia remains the quietest; he may be the last to leave and face a lonely period."

British media reports that Manchester United is willing to sell Malacia for a low price of £3 million and has allowed Scottish champions Celtic to negotiate with him, but one issue is hindering the talks. The player, who was the first signing during Ten Hag's tenure and cost £13 million, is not considered too expensive, but his nearly £80,000 weekly wage poses a challenge for other clubs. "Football Insider" reports that unless Manchester United subsidizes his salary, Celtic cannot meet Malacia's wage demands.
