Heerenveen has lost three forwards during the current transfer window. Ion Nicolaescu transferred to Maccabi Tel Aviv, Dimitris Rallis moved to Polish club Jagiellonia Bialystok, and Milos Lukovic returned to Ligue 1 team Strasbourg after being loaned out last season.
The Frisian Eredivisie club signed Surinamese international Dylan Vente from Hibernian earlier this summer, who cost Heerenveen around €1 million and scored 14 goals in 31 matches for PEC Zwolle last season.
Now, Vaclav Sejk, a 36-time Czech U21 international, will be joining Heerenveen on loan from Czech powerhouses Sparta Prague, according to the reliable Leeuwarder Courant. Heerenveen has included a buy option for Sejk after the upcoming season. The Czech striker has joined the first team for Saturday's friendly match in London against Queens Park Rangers.
This will be Sejk's sixth consecutive loan stint, having previously played for FK Teplice, FK Jablonec, Dutch club Roda JC, Polish team Zaglebie Lubin, and Portuguese Primeira Liga side Famalicao.
Sejk participated in last summer's Under-21 European Championships with the Czech Republic. In Slovakia, Sejk scored in the Czech Republic's 2-0 victory over Slovenia and assisted once in the 3-1 defeat to eventual champions England.
